What is team-based?
We make decisions as a team for our company. Team based means we work together each day toward one common goal; to create a one-of-a-kind guest experience focused on you and your needs. It isn’t “my chair/room, my client.” At Enlightened Beauty, it’s “our guild, our gang, our guests.” The beauty industry has been run in a commission focused system, with income being dependent on tips. We want to be collaborative, have stability for our company and guests, and in turn, create a healthy work environment for ourselves. We work 4 days per week, receive reliable hourly wages, have PTO and medical insurance, and have our daily break from 1:00pm - 2:30pm.
What does that mean for you?
We get to focus on what’s most important; you and your experience. You have more opportunities for appointments because we share schedules and are all trained on the Enlightened Beauty’s Standards. Our pricing is exactly as described on our app, on this website, and when you call or text us on our salon cell phone.
What is a non-tipping policy?
We know that your experience with us will make you want to tip everyone at Enlightened Beauty, but a non-tipping policy means we don’t accept them. Our pricing is all inclusive. We believe it's our responsibility to provide each of our guests with the best experience possible, every single time, and you never have to worry or think about what to tip at the end of your visit with us.
If you want to continue to support us beyond just being one of our amazing guests, you can send a friend, write a review, or splurge with more home care and visits. That's the best tip we can ever receive!

Spa Manager, Esthetician
Hey! My name is Jacqui, but everyone calls me Jac.
I am a professional multi-media makeup artist, master esthetician, energy worker, and the spa manager at Enlightened Beauty- Fargo. I specialize in facials, brow shaping, and mediumship, but absolutely love everything I do.
I stepped foot into the beauty industry 9 years ago, as a way to chase my love of art, and subsequently fell in love with skincare. I’ve been helping humans find their own sense of confidence through looking and feeling their best, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and their lives through mediumship and tarot, ever since!
I graduated from the Salon Professional Academy- Fargo & shortly thereafter, Faces Etc. of MN. My makeup artistry represented the Faces Academy for 5 years and was featured in a short film directed by Jonny Stuckmayer. I was voted one of the Top 10 Best Facials in North Dakota in 2023, as well!
In my personal life, I live in Moorhead, MN with my 6 pets: two dogs, two cats, one fish, and a tarantula. I have two sisters that are my best friends, one of whom owns Enlightened Beauty. When I’m not at work or with my besties, you can find me either snuggled up on the couch with my mammal pets and a good documentary, sittin’ on my front porch, or somewhere down by the river with my dogs. <3

Hey! My name is Emily, but you can call me Emmy for short.
I’m a Master Cosmetologist at Enlightened Beauty - Fargo. I specialize in All-Inclusive Haircutting, all Color Services, Manicuring and Pedicuring.
I joined the beauty industry after finding that the regular college setting wasn’t for me. I started taking classes at The Salon Professional Academy in February of 2021 and graduated in August of 2022. The joy of helping people feel their best is what makes my job so special.
As I grow as a stylist, I’ve realized that the industry is quite competitive - working at Enlightened Beauty has made me realize the phrase, “teamwork makes the dream work”, is the only thing to describe what we stand for. Working at Enlightened Beauty has helped me not only grow more confident in the industry and changing the competitive world, but has also taught me that it’s okay to ask for help so I can grow as a stylist.
If I’m not at work, I’m crocheting or knitting, cuddling with my cat named Venus, watching some sort of TV Show/Documentary that piques my interest (a lot being procedural dramas), listening to music or watching hockey during hockey season!
I can’t wait to make some magic behind the chair with you!

Hello! My name is Rori!
I am a cosmetologist and apprentice at Enlightened Beauty - Fargo! I am new to the beauty industry, having graduated cosmetology school in November of 2024, and I can’t wait to see where the industry will take me. I am learning the ropes of my chosen profession and I love doing what I do!
I fell in love with cosmetology when I learned how to braid my own hair and paint my own nails successfully! Helping people achieve their beauty goals also makes me love cosmetology more and more every day!
I love how much I have grown in the few months I have been at Enlightened Beauty and can’t wait to grow more with the team!
When I am not in the salon you can find me crafting the day away, watching tv and movies, actively searching for anything that has to do with butterflies, and spending time with my family! I look forward to seeing and meeting all of you lovely people!

Hello there. I’m Kayla. I got into the beauty industry because I love making people feel good and confident about themselves. When I get the chance to serve our guests and team members, and help to make their lives better, I am a happy Kayla. :)
Over the years in the beauty industry, I have worked in different salon and spa structures, been an instructor at a local cosmetology school, and evolved my company into the one we are today.
The beauty industry needs a serious makeover...pun intended. In my opinion, the traditional way salons and spas run doesn’t work anymore. It creates unhealthy competition, unstable pay structures, and it makes life harder. That's why I created Enlightened Beauty; to be a safe space to learn and grow. My plan is to franchise Enlightened Beauty so more salon owners and their teams can enjoy their careers to their fullest, while creating a healthy and supportive atmosphere for guests to visit. I also plan to open a micro beauty school where I can teach these radical changes and healthy lifestyles for a better future for our beauty industry.
When I’m not doing all things beauty, you can find me at home with my fur children and my Sam. I have the very best friends and team, and their support means the world to me. It’s tough work, being an entrepreneur, and I also wouldn’t have it any other way.
