Reaching Goals
Do you ever feel like you’re striving for a goal so hard and you are not getting anywhere? It feels like you’re spinning plates, running around, achieving nothing, and then you start to wonder, what the hell is the point? Then you feel like you want to quit everything?! I’ve been there, too.
Working with professional and personal development coaches over the last 9 years has taught me discipline. It’s also taught me the importance of consistency in doing the right things in the right way- the things that are in alignment with the goals I want to achieve as a person and for my company, even when I feel like it’s not doing anything or getting us anywhere.
And we’re all human. I forget to pause, take a time out, and measure the growth I’m actually experiencing, instead of making up stories that aren’t true. The tiniest, little growth is still growth! We live in this world of instant gratification and when we don't get it right away, we tend to get overwhelmed, frustrated, and want to give up.
I’m here to remind whoever is reading this, and let’s be honest, myself, that we are growing every single day. If we are intentionally working on a goal each day, we are growing, slowly but surely. And we NEED to take the time to pause and measure our success or we won’t see it. We won’t be able to celebrate our amazing accomplishments. If I forget to do this, everything starts to get a whole lot less fun. AND I don’t get to see how far I’ve come and CELEBRATE my little wins so it creates even more momentum! It’s all flippin’ connected.
So take a pause, draw a breath, and look around. Celebrate how far you’ve come in the time you’ve had and stay curious about what’s next. If we make a small step or a big leap, consistently, oh, the places we’ll go. We can’t wait for you to sit in our chairs or lay on our tables and tell us about your wins too, big or small. Let us celebrate ourselves, together. <3
